"Ugliest Website" to receive Web marketing makeover
Plainfield, IN ‘ December 10, 2007 ‘ The National Chimney Sweep Guild (NCSG) has announced its "Ugliest Website Contest" to encourage its members to increase the professionalism and effectiveness of their websites. Individual members can nominate their website as the "Ugliest" and then all Guild members will vote on the least attractive or most outdated one. The winner will receive a new professional website from Market Hardware, the leader in web marketing for chimney sweeps.’
"This contest will remind our members that it is smart business to periodically review their website," said Melissa Heeke, Director of Communications & Marketing, NCSG. "More homeowners than ever are turning to the internet to find services like chimney cleaning and repair. We think it's important for our members to benefit from this trend by maintaining a great web presence."’

Voting will take the place in December 2007 and the winner will be announced in the January 2008 issue of Newslink, NCSG's newsletter. The winning "Ugliest" site and the story behind the website makeover will be featured in a future issue of Sweeping: The Journal of Chimney & Venting Technology. The contest is limited to NCSG voting members only.’
