November Eleventh, Two-Thousand-and-Eleven. Better known as 11-11-11; a day that most people only celebrate as Veteran’s Day, but there were several other reasons to celebrate on this fine day. 80’s rock purists celebrate today as National Metal Day, with VH1 only playing heavy metal music all day (in the words of Nigel from Spinal Tap, dial the volume up to 11). At Market Hardware, we took the internet expert route and celebrated Nerd New Year with cake and a company-wide countdown. Enthusiasts all over the world celebrated when the clock hit 11:11, and we followed suit. Check out our video to see.
